PROPOSED AGENDA FOR THE GROWTH BOARD JOINT COMMITTEE 26 JANUARY 2021

1. Purpose of report
1.1 This report updates on the last stages of implementation of the Growth Board Statutory Joint Committees.
2. Background
2.1 Assuming that Growth Board partners have all secured the legal basis to form the joint committees and have agreed to constitute the Growth Board Joint committee at the meeting on 26 January 2021. Appendix A to this report provides a proposed agenda for the first meeting, including all the legal and other procedural steps that will be necessary to bring the joint committee into effect.
2.2 Partners are asked to give any feedback on the content of the proposed agenda at this stage. Agenda papers for the joint committee meetings will need to be published seven clear working days before the meetings to allow for submission of any questions/petitions/public speaking requests etc. This would be 14 January 2021 for the first meeting.
3. Recommendations
3.1 That Leaders/LEP Chair note the proposed agenda for the first Growth Board Joint Committee meeting in January 2021 (at Appendix A) and provide any feedback on content or other matters.
